B&C Morning Show: Tommy John Joins The Fun
Tommy John won a total of 288 games during his major league career.
But when most people hear his name it's in relation to the surgery he had back in 1974 to replace a ligament in his elbow with a tendon from his forearm.
That revolutionary surgery has since been named after the left-handed hurler -- 'Tommy John surgery.'
Well Tommy joined Boomer and Craig today, a little later than scheduled, and talked about his days hosting 'Bagels & Baseball' along with Ian Eagle right here on the FAN.
Of course he also talked about the aforementioned surgery which now bares his name and the affect it's had on the game of baseball, his own pitching career, the recent Baseball Hall of Fame vote and his relationship with late Yankee owner George Steinbrenner...
