NYPD: Trio Steals $80K In Jewelry From Store In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are trying to find three suspects who they said stole $80,000 in jewelry from a store in Queens.

It happened back on Dec. 19 at the Elegance Jewelry Store on Junction Boulevard.

Around 2 p.m., the first suspect is seen on surveillance video walking up to the front of the store and looking at some items displayed in the window.

Seconds later, he holds the door open for the two other masked suspects and then remained outside as a lookout, police said.

Once inside, the two masked men pulled out a gun, forced employees to the back of the store and then smashed the display counters, police said.

They grabbed about $80,000 in jewelry and then took off.

Police describe the suspected lookout as a man between 25 and 30 years old with a medium build. He was seen wearing blue jeans, a black waist-length coat, a light-colored hat and glasses.

Police said the masked suspects are also between 25 and 30. One was wearing a black leather jacket, black pants and a black hat with a "Mitchell and Ness" logo. The other was wearing jeans, a brown waist-length blazer, a beige hat and brown shoes.
