NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police Tuesday evening were looking for the help of the public in finding a man who exposed himself to two middle-school-age girls in Flushing, Queens.

Around 7:40 a.m. Monday, the man walked up to two girls, ages 12 and 13, as they walked down Bowne Street in Queens. He first attempted to engage them in conversation, then exposed his penis to them, police said.

The victims fled the location, police said.

Police described the man as Hispanic and of an unknown age, standing 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, blue jeans and light-colored sneakers.

Police have released a surveillance photo suspect.
