FBI: NJ Man Posted More Than 100 Listings On Craigslist, Tried To Meet Minor For Sex

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Federal investigators are looking for potential victims after arresting a New Jersey man for sexual enticement of a minor.

Eric Fantau, 31, was arrested in the parking lot of a mall in Wayne on Jan. 15. The FBI said Fantau was attempting to meet a minor "for the purpose of engaging in sexually explicit conduct."

According to a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court, Fantau is accused of posting more than 100 listings looking for sex on Craigslist.

He also exchanged emails with people who identified themselves as female minors and asked them to meet him for sex, the FBI said.

"In cases like these, it's not unusual for there to be multiple victims," Supervisory Special Agent Martin Feely said in a statement. "Out of an abundance of caution, we want the public to be aware that the FBI is available if someone feels they have been victimized."

The FBI is asking anyone with information to call 212-384-1000.
