Police: Queens Man Arrested In Two Child Luring Incidents

UPDATE:  The Queens County Court dismissed all charges against Mr. Recalde in June 2014 and the records of the case have been sealed.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested a man suspected of luring two teenage girls in Queens last week.

Angel Recalde, 43, of Flushing was taken into custody Thursday.

Last Friday morning, police said Recalde was driving a Cadillac Escalade when he pulled up alongside a 13-year-old girl on Northern Boulevard near 102nd Street in Woodside, and began trying to chat with her.

As the girl walked away, Recalde got out of the vehicle and grabbed her by the arm, police said.

The girl pulled away and fled.

Later that night, Recalde allegedly approached a 14-year-old girl near Northern Boulevard and Parsons Boulevard in Flushing. He followed the girl and motioned for her to approach the vehicle, police said. The girl fled the location.

Recalde is charged with two counts of luring a child to commit a crime, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of harassment, police said.
