NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — One of two suspects has been captured and charged in a stabbing that left a man dead in the Cooper Park public housing development in Brooklyn.

Richie Vargas, 21, of Brooklyn, was charged with manslaughter, first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon in the stabbing of Anthony Dash, 39, in front of the Cooper Park Houses building at 275 Jackson St. in the East Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, police said.

Police as of Tuesday evening were still looking for a second suspect.

Dash was found just after 9 p.m. with a stab wound to the left leg, police said.

He was taken to Woodhull Medical Center in critical, but stable, condition, police said. On Sunday, he died at the hospital.
