NEW YORK (WLNY) – Comedian Heather McDonald has made a career out of making fun of herself.

She’s a writer and performer on Chelsea Lately and also a headlining comedian. Now she’s put all of her stories in her new book, My Inappropriate Life.

She joined us on The Couch on Wednesday to give us some insight.

“I’m extremely honest about my life,” she said. “I live a very traditional life. I live next door to my parents…But then I work on a really inappropriate late night cable show.”

“I’m the only married mom on staff, but I end up doing all these crazy things because I never say ‘no’ if I can end up on camera doing something silly, or wear a really unattractive outfit or make fun of  a celebrity, or make out with someone other than my husband on camera.”
