B&C Morning Show: Jerry's Update

Jerry Recco was back in the saddle this morning. Shortly after 6:30 a.m., the update maven did his thing, which included reporting on a couple of embarrassing losses by the NBA locals.

The Knicks fell to the Clippers 102-88 and Mike Woodson says it's his fault.  The Clips used a 40-year-old Grant hill to help slow down Carmelo Anthony, who despite finishing with 42 points, managed just four in the lopsided fourth quarter.

As for the Nets, they got lambasted in Brooklyn by the Spurs 111-86, and according to PJ Carlesimo (and Meatloaf) they 'can't do that.'  Brook Lopez didn't think his squad was ready for the second half, while Deron Williams described the group as one who hang their heads when things get tough -- or 'Piazza-ing,' as Craig put it.

For the record, Mike Piazza was extended an invitation to join the radio program to promote his new book, 'Long Shot,' but declined.

Plus, the Celtics beat the Nuggets118-114 in triple OT and something Paul Pierce did caused Cedric Maxwell to drool, the Rangers and Devils both win, more on Ray Lewis' 'healing hands' and Jerry gets scolded for not reporting on the Pope stepping down from being Pope...
