Police Seek Help Locating Missing 12-Year-Old Brooklyn Girl

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking the public's help in locating a girl from Brooklyn missing nearly one week.

Leiana Ortiz was last seen leaving her house on Pine Street at around 8 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6.

She is described as approximately 5'1", 138 lbs., with brown eyes, brown hair, and a light skin complexion.

She was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket and beige jeans.

Anyone with information in regards to Ortiz is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
