
NEW YORK (WLNY) – The annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is now on newsstands.
TV 10-55′s John Elliott chatted with one of the models who posed for the issue. Jessica Perez, a Costa Rica native and a rising star in the world of modeling, joined him on The Couch.

It’s not her first time in the role. Perez landed a rookie spot in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swim issue, after winning the 2011 Sports Illustrated Model Search.
The 2013 magazine shoot took place on Easter Island — not a bad assignment for the swimsuit issue vet.
“It was really challenging to shoot there, it’s such a unique place,” she said. “I’ve never really been there that had a landscape quite like that…it’s all like volcanic rock, and the island itself is quite barren,” she said.
Perez admits parts of the shoot were challenging — but she’s excited for the exposure that comes with the role.
“You always feel a lot of pressure, because you want to do a good job,” she said. “I think the grandeur of the job, and that pressure that you put on yourself to do well should be there, because it helps you excel.”
