Today, our focus was on Elizabeth Espada, a newlywed who got married in September and was starting her new life with her husband when everything turned upside down.

A month after the wedding, Hurricane Sandy struck her home in the Rockaways, causing serious damage and washing away all of the couple’s wedding gifts.

This morning we wanted to change Elizabeth’s life for the better.
