NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Children, parents, and aliens. All were accounted for as The Moms hosted a screening of the new animated movie “Escape from Planet Earth.”

Afterwards, there was a Q&A with actress Jane Lynch, who voices one of the characters.

Elise Finch was there as guests got unfiltered access to the star.

Lynch said playing a gruff but loveable alien trying to get back to her home planet is definitely a departure from her “Glee” character, but it’s also a return to her roots.

She offered The Moms – Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein – and all the other moms some parenting advice about how to deal with a child who has also been bitten by the acting bug.

Albert and Gerstein then sat down on The Couch to talk more about Lynch and parenting.
