NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Our Glam Team Takeover continued this morning with another Sandy victim, but one who not only lost her home, but her business in the storm, and that was only the beginning.

Damaris Gomez is from Far Rockaway, Queens and says her day usually starts at 5:30 a.m. and doesn’t end until 8 p.m.

She’s has been married to her high school sweetheart for 17 years and they have three children.

She used to operate a licensed day care center on the first floor of her home, but when superstorm Sandy hit, the day care center was destroyed, along with her children’s bedrooms.

As if that wasn’t enough, she’s taking care of her husband, Pedro, who’s undergone several back surgeries, which have left him with chronic pain.

Damaris needed a break! So, we turned to stylist extraordinaire George Brescia, who handled her with care!
