Pieces Of Olympic And Comic Book History To Be Auctioned Off In NYC

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The folks from Heritage Auctions will be putting history on the auction block this weekend.

Among the items up for auction will be Mike Eruzione’s Team USA jersey from the 1980 “Miracle On Ice” game. It’s expected to fetch over $1 million.

That item is part of the New York Sports Platinum Night Auction on February 23.

A CGC-graded 6.5 copy of Detective Comics #27 (DC, 1939), the first appearance of “The Bat-Man,” is expected to bring more than $500,000.

John Romita Sr.’s cover art to the legendary issue “Amazing Spider-Man #121″ is expected to fetch more than $200,000.

A rare “Calvin & Hobbes” original comic strip is up for sale too.

Those items are part of the Vintage Comics & Comic Art Signature Auction from February 21 to 22 at the Fletcher-Sinclair Mansion (Ukrainian Institute of America) on 79th Street and 5th Avenue.
