Fatal Fire Under Investigation In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a 78-year-old man's body was found inside a burning apartment in Brooklyn.
The fire broke out around 3:15 a.m. Friday on the 12th floor a building on Ross Street near Wythe Avenue. The blaze was under control by about 4 a.m.
After the fire was extinguished, police found the man inside. He had "severe body trauma" and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
This is the second deadly fire at the building in less than a month. A person died on the same floor in late January.
