NEW YORK (WLNY) – At 19-years-old, Rolanda Noguera was told she needed a kidney transplant.

The first one wasn’t successful — and after more than a decade of dialysis and constant hospital visits, Rolanda was on the verge of giving up.

But she didn’t.

In June 2011, she received her second transplant.

Now, she’s feeling stronger and healthier than ever.

After 16 years on dialysis, Rolanda told us she’d love to be “updated” and see herself as a “normal” person again.

Susan Swimmer, More magazine’s features editor, and her glam team met up with Rolanda to give her a new look for her new life.
