Father, Baby Injured In Yonkers Apartment Building Fire

YONKERS, N.Y (CBSNewYork) — A father and an 8-month-old baby were injured Tuesday evening in an apartment building fire in the Bronx.

The fire broke out Tuesday evening on the first floor of the building at 363 Walnut St. Firefighters had the blaze under control by 8:30 p.m., WCBS 880 reported.

The 8-month-old of an unspecified gender suffered minor burns, while the father might have suffered second-degree burns, fire officials said.

They were both taken to Jacobi Medical Center in unspecified conditions.

The cause of the fire was under investigation Tuesday night.
