PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — A New Jersey high school teacher is denying allegations that he offered a student money in exchange for sex.
Weir is accused of using the instant messaging feature on Facebook to lure the male student to a Burger King near Kennedy High School. Police said he then offered the student $50 in exchange for sex acts.
Weir was arrested Saturday evening in the restaurant parking lot, officials said.
Weir, who has working in the school district for 21 years, has been suspended without pay.
