NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A fire broke out Friday evening in a high-rise on the Lower East Side, and the raging flames were captured on camera.
The blaze broke out around 6:30 p.m. Friday in an 18th-floor of a building at First Avenue and East 2nd Street.
Numerous witnesses got their camera phones out.
The blaze was under control by just after 7 p.m. There were no injuries reported.
The cause and the extent of the damage were not immediately available.
