Police: Suspect Robbed, Shot Man At Bronx Diner

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who they said robbed and shot a man at a Bronx diner.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. last Friday at the Land & Sea Diner on Broadway.

A 28-year-old man was sitting at a table eating with his friends when the suspect walked up to him and robbed him at gunpoint, police said.

The suspect stole cash and jewelry from the victim, police said. He then shot the victim in the buttocks while fleeing the restaurant.

The victim was treated at St. Barnabus Hospital and released.

The suspect is believed to be in his 20s, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap and a brown or gray hooded sweatshirt, police said.
