NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police are looking for a suspect who they say stole a woman's smartphone.

Police were able to get a photo of their suspect thanks to the alleged thief himself. The suspect took a picture of himself exhaling smoke on the victim's cellphone. The woman had her phone set to automatically post pictures to her Facebook page.

The victim gave the photo to authorities to try to identify the suspect.

According to reports, police believe the man was smoking marijuana in the photos.

The suspect is described as a black man with black hair, a blue hat, blue sneakers and an orange jacket.
