Man’s Body Found Along East River

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A man’s body was found Wednesday afternoon along the East River on the Upper East Side.

Police came to the East River at 93rd Street around 4:45 p.m., following a 911 call of a body found.

Officers found the man unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not specify whether the man was found in the river or alongside it.

The New York City Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
