NEW YORK (WLNY) – St. Patrick’s Day is all about celebrating the Irish in all of us.
Mixologist Cailtlin Stansbury visited The Couch to show us how to make a classic treat to celebrate the holiday: Boozy and non-boozy milkshakes.

Shamrock Shake:
4 lg. scoops vanilla ice cream
1 &1/2 cups 2% milk
¼ tsp. peppermint extract
½ tsp. green food coloring
Garnish: whipped cream, green sprinkles, fresh mint tops
Combine all ingredients in the blender, cover and blend until smooth. Serve in a parfait glass or cocktail coupe with a fat straw OR for kid’s parties make mini’s in shot glasses. Garnish with green cupcake sprinkles, and/or whipped cream and a fresh mint sprig.
Adult Version Variation:
Reduce milk by ½ a cup, add 2 oz. Irish Whiskey or Dark Rum
