The dynamic radio duo known as Boomer & Carton had plenty to talk about this Monday morning, beginning with the news that Mark Teixeira could need surgery on his ailing wrist, which would shelve the Yankees first baseman for the entire season. Craig advises Yankees fans to brace themselves for what he is predicting will be a long season for the Bombers.
The undermanned Knicks find themselves in the midst of a loooong road trip, which was made even longer with a 93-80 loss to the Clippers Sunday afternoon. With no Carmelo and no Tyson Chandler, the Knicks really had no chance and it doesn’t appear that it’s going to get any better anytime soon for Mike Woodson’s gang — Craig is also predicting the worst for the Knicks.
The Jets pay Darrelle Revis $1 million, but Woody Johnson doesn’t view the cornerback as a building block; and Jon Niese, not Johan Santana, will likely make the Opening Day start for those ‘Not So Amazin’ Mets.
On a positive note or two, the NCAA Tournament selections have been made, so now the bracket fun begins.
