L.I. Assistant Principal Accused Of Sexting To Teachers, Students

WYANDANCH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- An assistant principal at a Suffolk County high school was arrested Monday, after he allegedly sent smutty text messages to teachers and even students.

Craig Cohen, assistant principal at Wyandanch Memorial High School in Wyandanch, was accused of sending several inappropriate texts this month and last. Some of the messages were sexual in nature, Suffolk County police said.

Cohen, who has worked at the high school for about eight years, was arrested around 7:10 a.m. as he left his Northport home.

He was charged with three counts of second-degree aggravated harassment, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police did not release further details of what Cohen allegedly said in the texts.

Cohen will appear for an arraignment Tuesday at Suffolk County First District Court in Islip.
