Farm Rich Products Recalled Over E. Coli Fears

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -- Rich Products Corporation of Buffalo has announced a voluntary recall of its Farm Rich Mini Quesadillas and other Farm Rich products due to possible contamination with E. coli bacteria.

The recall, announced Thursday, also includes the company's Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices, Farm Rich Philly Cheese Steaks, Farm Rich Mozzarella Bites, and Market Day Mozzarella Bites.

The Farm Rich products were distributed in retails stores nationwide. The company said it is working with the Food Safety Inspection Service at USDA to identify the possible source of contamination.

Health officials say symptoms of E. coli infection could come up to 10 days after exposure and can include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea and vomiting.

Consumers who have questions regarding the recall can call 1-8888-220-5955 or visit the company's website at www.farmrich.com.
