As is usually the case, Jerry Recco was all over it this morning when delivering his informative and entertaining update to the masses, beginning with the Yankees, after the Bombers got a shaky performance from 'hefty lefty' CC Sabathia and lost to the Red Sox 8-2 on Opening Day in the Bronx.
Meanwhile, over in Queens, the Mets' Opening Day had an entirely different feel -- scoring 11 runs can have that effect . Terry Collins' bunch got all over the Padres, winning by a score of 11-2 and providing all sorts of projections in the process.
