NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A 22-year-old man is recovering after a brick wall collapsed on a Queens street.

The facade of a GameStop store on 92nd Street in Elmhurst fell on the victim Thursday afternoon.

The downed section of the brick wall was 10-feet-high and 40-feet-long, CBS 2 reported.

Witnesses said it happened so fast, the victim had no chance to get out of the way.

“He was bleeding from the back of the head…he got crushed,” witness Eric Wong said.

Along with cuts and scrapes, the victim suffered a broken leg, CBS 2 reported.

There were no reports of any other injuries.

The cause of the collapse is under investigation.
