About two hours later, police said Garfield went to a Kia car dealership where a woman was waiting to have her car serviced, stole her car and took off.

He then crashed the car on Hicksville Road at the ramp for the Southern State Parkway in North Massapequa, police said. When cops arrived, they determined had been driving under the influence of drugs, police said.

Garfield was charged with assault, grand larceny, criminal possession of a weapon and driving while ability impaired by drugs.

He's set to be arraigned on Friday.
