NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A manhole fire cut power to customers Tuesday afternoon in eastern Queens.

Power was cut to traffic lights at several intersections in the Bellerose section of Queens, most notably including Jamaica Avenue – which turns into the Jericho Turnpike – at 246th Street, 1010 WINS Traffic reported.

Con Edison was not immediately available to specify how many customers were affected.

Details of the manhole fire were not immediately available.
