Police Seek Suspect In 10 Upper West Side Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for help in finding a suspect wanted in connection with a Manhattan robbery pattern.

The suspect followed his victims into residential buildings on the Upper West Side and then approached them while they were in either the vestibule or entering the elevator, police said.

The suspect then simulates or displays a gun, and in some incidents displayed a knife, before robbing victims, authorities said.

The suspect is wanted in 10 incidents, with the latest coming on March 24 on West 109th Street.

Police described the suspect as black male, between 25 to 40 years old, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-11 and between 130 to 170 pounds.
