Benji, Dog Rescued From Ecuador After Living In Box, Up For Adoption

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Benji was rescued from Ecuador after spending a year living in a box. When he was rescued, Benji was close to death and hadn't eaten for four days. Benji also suffers from a leg deformity - his previous owners literally left him out with the garbage.

After 20 days in the hospital recuperating, he was given to foster mother Pyul Kim.

Benji's now ready for adoption, but will need routine training.
