Police: L.I. Student Posted Threat Against School On Facebook
LAWRENCE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island teenager has been accused of threatening to blow up his school, Nassau County Police said.
The 16-year-old student posted the threat against the Mesivta Ateres Yaakov School on his Facebook page, police said.
The threats were brought to the attention of the principal, police said.
The school was evacuated and surrounding streets were shut down for two hours Tuesday morning.
The student was arrested at the school without incident, police said.
He faces charges of making a terrorist threat and aggravated harassment.
He was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
