Mark Sanchez showed up at MSG on Saturday afternoon for Game 1 of the Knicks-Celtics series and was greeted with a chorus of boos from the New Yorkers on hand.

Word is WFAN’s own Mike Francesa was also on hand to apparently lend the Jets’ 26-year-old signal-caller a shoulder to cry on — which, if true, was a very nice gesture.

Boomer quarterbacked the Jets back in the ’90s, and once got booed while attending a charity event. He doesn’t recall ever receiving a pep talk from Mike, or his old partner Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo for that matter.

Well, that was all Craig needed to hear…
