With Matt Harvey starting, there was an actual buzz surrounding last night’s Dodgers-Mets game at Citi Field. But it was Jordany Valdespin who ended up playing the role of ‘the man.’
Jordany ‘I am the man right now’ Valdespin hit a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the 10th last night, capping off a 7-3 win for the Mets, which prompted Boomer and Craig to open up today’s radio program talking about their beloved Mets.
New York improved to 10-9 with the win, and have people talkin’.
The Yankees finished up their series down in Tampa with a 3-0 loss to the Rays, thanks in large part to the manner in which right fielder Brennan Boesch played a routine ground ball in the fifth inning, making Andy Pettitte the hard-luck loser.
As for the Yankees captain, Derek Jeter will address the media later today with regards to his uncertain future and both the Jets and the Giants continue to prepare for the NFL Draft, which gets underway tonight…
