Jerry Recco had a lot to cover during his first update of the morning, and did his best to get to it all, beginning with the story surrounding the first round of the NFL Draft, which concluded last night and saw the Jets draft CB Dee Milliner (Alabama - 9th pick) and DT Sheldon Richardson (Missouri - 13th pick), while the Giants were busy bolstering their offensive line, selecting Syracuse tackle Justin Pugh with the 19th pick.
Then, after drawing inspiration from Football Nations' Bill Enright, Craig had some fun making up names of potential NFL Draft picks. Juvenile? Yes. Funny? Hilarious!
Plus, the Nets' putrid performance in Chicago puts them in a 2-1 hole against the Bulls, Rangers clinch a playoff berth with a 4-3 OT win over the Hurricanes, Mets lose to the Dodgers 3-2, the Yanks get homer happy in a 5-3 win over the Blue Jays and Derek Jeter vows to return before the end of the season...
