With the Knicks and Nets both in the middle of Round 1 of the NBA playoffs, the Rangers and Islanders both preparing for the NHL playoffs, the Major League Baseball season underway and the NFL Draft concluding, there is an awful lot going on in the world of sports theses days.

No one knows this better than our very own sports update anchor extraordinaire Jerry Recco, whose job it is to get us up to speed on all of it.

Jerry got things rolling with the Knicks after their disappointing Game 4 loss to the Celtics up in Boston Sunday afternoon.  When the final horn sounded, Mike Woodson’s gang had been handed a 97-90 OT loss and will now look to wrap things up Wednesday night at MSG.

Plus, the Nets will look stay alive tonight in Brooklyn against the Bulls, the Jets make a splash by drafting Geno Smith (pictured) – who is ‘proud to be a Jet’ and is predicting a ‘playoff run’ for Gang Green – Yanks finish off sweep of Blue Jays after Lyle Overbay manages to pull an R.A. Dickey pitch into the stands for two-run, go-ahead round tripper, the Mets managed just three hits against the Phillies in their fourth straight loss and both the Rangers (No. 6 seed, will face the Caps) and Islanders (No. 8, will face the Penguins) get their schedules for the NHL playoffs…
