Warrant Issued In Fatal Shooting In Bloomfield, N.J.
BLOOMFIELD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police issued a warrant Monday for a suspect in a fatal shooting in Bloomfield, N.J.
The warrant was issued for Marcelus Tonic, 25, of Newark, in the fatal shooting around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Beardsley Avenue in Bloomfield, according to Bloomfield police and the Essex County Prosecutor's office.
Killed in the shooting was Ron E. Jean, 24, of Belleville. He was pronounced dead at 4:06 a.m. Saturday, prosecutors said.
Anyone with information on the shooting was asked to call Essex County Prosecutor's Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force detectives, at (877) 847-7432.
