Police: L.I. Man Charged With DWI After Car Slams Into Glen Head Home
GLEN HEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man has been charged with driving while intoxicated after his car slammed into a home early Tuesday morning, police said.
Ricardo Medina-Baez, 41, of Long Beach, was behind the wheel of a 2005 Volkswagen when the vehicle left the road and struck a home on Glen Cove Avenue around 1 a.m., police said.
The car burst into flames and the house caught fire after the crash, police said.

Medina-Baez was taken to a hospital with a head injury. His condition is unknown.
A woman who was inside the home at the time of the incident was not hurt.
The vehicle has been impounded.
The investigation is ongoing.
