When Wednesday’s show concluded, all signs pointed to today’s edition of the Boomer & Carton Morning Extravaganza being a four-hour long celebration of the New York Knicks, who appeared poised to end their opening-round series with Celtics in five games.

Well that was far from the case, as Boomer and Craig were both noticeably agitated after the Knicks were dealt a 92-86 loss last night at MSG, and will now be playing a Game 6 in Boston Friday night with the weight squarely on their shoulders.

The guys aired their grievances with the Knicks, placing the majority of the blame on J.R. Smith, not only for his poor shooting last night but for his Game 3 elbow — which in addition to earning  him a one-game suspension, also appears to have awakened the veteran Celtics club, specifically Jason Terry, who was on the receiving end of the costly hit.

So it was a Knicks-dominated open, as the Dynamic Radio Duo did their best to keep things in perspective and ease the minds of worried fans…
