NYPD Searching For Suspects In 2 Separate Sex Assault Cases

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding the suspects wanted in two separates sex assault cases last month.

On Monday, a 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted around 2:30 a.m. in the hallway of an apartment building on East 106th Street in East Harlem, police said.

Police have released a sketch of the suspect who is described as a Hispanic man believed to be in his mid-30s. He is about 5-feet-10-inches tall, 180 pounds with a light complexion and scruffy mustache goatee, police said. He was last seen wearing a black and red hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.

Police have also released new surveillance images of a suspect wanted for allegedly grabbing a 9-year-old girl's buttocks in the East Village on April 14.

Police said the new images were obtained from a building on East 10th Street before the incident happened.

The suspect was described as white and in his 30s or 40s, approximately 200 pounds, with black hair with some gray. He was last seen wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt, dark jeans, and white metal-wired glasses, police said.

Police previously provided a sketch of the suspect.

Anyone with information in regards to either of these incidents is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
