2 Construction Workers Hurt After Cherry Picker Overturns In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two construction workers are hospitalized in serious condition after an accident involving a cherry picker truck.

The incident happened shortly after 11 a.m. Monday on the Belt Parkway in Canarsie.

The two men became trapped under the equipment after it toppled over, officials said.

It took about 45 minutes to free the men, a fire department spokesman said.

Both men have been taken to a hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
