Suspect Sought In Slashing Attack At Staten Island Deli

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted in connection with an assault at a Staten Island deli last month.

The suspect walked into the Diamond Deli at 171 Broad Street around 6 p.m. on April 21 and slashed a person in the face with a sharp object before fleeing, police said.

The victim suffered lacerations to the face and was treated and released from Richmond University Medical Center, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).  The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
