A rock legend and personal friend of Joe Montana, Huey Lewis, stopped by the Allstate Studio this morning to chat with Boomer and Craig about the 30th anniversary of his band’s third album, ‘Sports.’

Huey — of Huey Lewis and the News — was also happy to remind Boomer that he lost Super Bowl XXIII to Montana and the 49ers.

Lewis talked about the amazing experience he had recording ‘We Are the World’ (which included talking golf with Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan), why performers lip-synch, the story behind ‘The Power of Love’ (the single featured in the 1985 blockbuster ‘Back to the Future’), and of course answered the age-old question, ‘whatcha benchin?’

Before saying goodbye, Craig did his best to get Huey and Boomer to sing a duet, but the Blonde Bomber had a little stage fright…
