K-Mart Now Trying To Recover From Flu
INDIANAPOLIS (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Knicks' offense is struggling, and they still aren't fully healthy.
After a dismal showing in Game 3, New York woke up Sunday morning and learned the illness that J.R. Smith fought Saturday had spread. Forward Kenyon Martin missed Sunday's workout with the flu. He stayed back at the hotel with Smith, who played Saturday night despite spiking a 102-degree fever in the morning.
That's not good news for a team that scored only 71 points against Indiana and barely avoided setting a franchise record for fewest points in a playoff game. The record is 67.
If they can't get things fixed before Tuesday night's Game 4 at Indiana, the Knicks could be heading home in a 3-1 series hole and on the verge of elimination.
