Chefs, Restauranteurs Mark Great Food Moments In Film At James Beard Awards

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Food is the new black.

The 2013 James Beard Awards, the "Oscars" of the food world, took place last week at Lincoln Center. Chefs, restauranteurs and beverage professionals descended upon Midtown. Food & Film" was the theme of this year's awards.

"I feel so excited to be celebrating great food moments in film, after all, chefs are the stars of our world now, so what better theme could we have?" said James Beard Foundation President Susan Ungaro.

"I look forward to it every year, lots of exciting after parties," said Alfred Portale of Gotham Bar & Grill. "I canceled all my tennis for tomorrow."
