Police: L.I. Store Owner Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Employee
SYOSSET, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A registered sex offender has been arrested after police said he sexually assaulted an employee in the warehouse of his Long Island store.
Alfred Balcerak, 54, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse, Nassau County police said. Bail has been set at $100,000 bond or $50,000 cash.
The alleged incident happened on May 21 in the warehouse of Dun Rite Upholstery in Syosset.
Balcerak, who owns the store, approached a male employee in his 20s, pulled down his pants and touched his genitals, police said. The victim then walked away and called police.

Balcerak is a level 3 registered sex offender, police said. He was convicted and served two years in jail for allegedly fondling two teenage boys in 2008 at a Bellmore upholstery store.
