NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have arrested a Bronx man in connection with the death of his girlfriend’s infant child.
JW Hicks, 46, has been charged with murder and manslaughter, police said.
Hicks was babysitting his girlfriend’s son, 5-month-old Jacob Agosto back in February, police said. When the boy’s mother returned home, she found the boy unresponsive on the bed in the bedroom, police said.
The baby was taken to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The medical examiner later classified the boy’s death as a homicide.
