NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Midtown residents and weekend workers might have heard explosions Saturday, but no one should be alarmed.

A film production company has been staging the aftermath of a simulated explosion, with smoke effects, on 43rd Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues in Hell’s Kitchen.

The film project was expected to continue through 8 p.m. Saturday, and resume from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
