NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – The annual Valerie Fund Walk and 5K is less than a week away.
The charitable organization works with sick children and their families to make the trying time a little easier for the whole family.
CBS 2’s Cindy Hsu spoke with Bunny Flanders of the Valerie Fund and 9-year-old cancer survivor Molly Greenwald about the walk and what the charity means to so many families.
The Valerie Fund has been in operation for 36 years and helps more than 4,000 children with cancer and blood disorders each year.
The annual walk, which is sponsored by CBS 2, takes place Sat., June 15 at Verona Park in Essex County, N.J.
